Description:

Our torsion bar 4x4 setup uses 1999-2010 GM lower control arms which interface with similar truck torsion bars. The striking pad profile on van and truck control arms differ. This style bump stop is relatively soft and comes in contact with the surface frequently, so it's important these line up for optimal ride quality. 

Our Chevrolet Express 2500 + 3500 4x4 Van Conversion Bump Stop Conversion Kit re-articulates the bump stop so that it makes contact correctly with the lower control arm sweet spot and does its job correctly. These are available for both the standard kit and the 5" lift kit, which has a bit more travel before coming in contact. 

Our updated design includes a bolt-in version of the factory-style van bump stops. The process of installation includes cutting out the factory van bump stop pocket, mounting and welding in our adapter boxes, and bolting up the new replacement bump stops in the pre-drilled location. 

The product comes powder coated and pre-cleaned in the weld-in areas, and they are marked left and right. It is recommended to properly treat the exposed steel after installation with chassis paint. We recommend Chassis Saver Magnet Paint or Steel-It stainless paint. 

Vehicle Fitment:

Van Side - 2003-2022 Chevrolet Express 2500/3500/4500 series vans. May work with other models. 

Tools Required:

Standard hand tools minimum, wire brush grinder and/or solvent cleaner, requires welding.

Bump stop mounting plates, bump stops, hardware. (Kit includes driver and passenger sides both)

Construction Notes:

3/16" material CNC cut A36 mild steel, powder-coat, OEM style bump bolt in bump stop.

Tips / Skill Level:

1-10 (10 being most difficult) Level 3 (Requires welding)

  • Shipping: Our components are carefully wrapped and packaged and ship UPS, USPS, or FedEx, depending on what is available. If you require a particular carrier, please contact us ahead of your purchase.  Customers in Colorado may arrange for in-person pickup within 1-2 business days of purchase taking noted lead times into consideration. 
  • Shipping/Fulfillment time for components: We typically ship within 1-2 business days of your order and we carefully monitor our inventory. In the event that we are unable to meet that timeframe, we will contact you and arrange either a full refund or a timeframe for fulfillment agreeable to the customer. 
  • Taxes: Colorado residents must pay sales tax of 7.5%, no sales tax is collected on out-of-state shipments currently. 
  • Quality and Returns: We are consistently complimented on the quality of our products and the ease of install. Components are hand-built here almost exclusively in Colorado by seasoned professionals who are fanatics about design and execution. If you are in any way disappointed in the components we will issue a full refund less the cost of shipping when the product is returned. If you decide to return any components that didn't apply to your build or you changed your mind about, shipping and a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the purchase refund.
