Ford E-450 Pass-Through Remote Parking Brake Kit

This is a remote parking brake assembly for Econoline 4x4 conversions. It was designed primarily for E-450 conversions that normally have the driveshaft parking brake attached to the back of the transmission. It can be used in other applications, though modifications may be required.

Many Ford E-450's, particularly the popular E40D/4R100 versions have a driveshaft type parking brake attached to the back of an already 4x4 Ford transmission. It's great that the transfer case will bolt right up, but the Dana 80 used in Fords doesn't have easy solutions to install a parking brake. (as far as we know.)

Our solution is a pass-through remote parking brake slave. This secondary cable-actuated unit allows fluid to pass through under normal circumstances so the rear brakes work as they should, but it has a lockout that integrates with the factory van brake cable that is disconnected from the original e-brake. 

Essentially, when you need to lock the rear axle, you just press down on the brake pedal which locks the rear pads/shoes, and then depress the original van e-brake cable, and the rear pads stay engaged. Disengagement of the system is just pulling the release lever like normal. 

It's a simple system, but it works great, is pretty easy to install and functions just as well as a properly tuned e-brake shoe style lockout.

• Taxes: Colorado residents must pay a sales tax of 7.5%, no sales tax is collected on out-of-state shipments currently. 
• Quality and Returns:  We are consistently complimented on the quality of our products and the ease of installation. Fabricated components are generally hand-built here in Colorado by seasoned professionals. Replacement or aftermarket parts are only offered in high-grade options.
  
  If you are in any way disappointed in the components, we will issue a full refund less the cost of shipping when the product is returned within 30 days of receipt. If you decide to return any components that didn't apply to your build or you changed your mind about, a shipping +15 % restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
