Timberline Undercarriage Battery Tray Holder

Sold out

There aren't really a lot of great solutions out there for undercarriage frame-mount battery trays out there, so we built one. This is a very basic universal battery tray that can be used for a variety of different batteries. We have an application guide listed below. The tray is designed to fit the majority of batteries, and it has a standardized height with a locking strap that goes across the top. If your battery is taller, you need merely add some tube spacers and use longer hardware to accomodate the gap.

The footprint of your battery will need to be shimmed into place. We typically just use a couple pieces of ripped plywood to keep the battery from sliding around.

Our trays come powdercoated and can be mounted a variety of different ways. You can weld the strap across a beam on your undercarriage and use the strap bolts like studs. You can weld the entire tray into place if there's clearance to service the battery. We've also done quite a few by just transferring the holes on the back side to the frame of the vehicle, drilling the holes and bolting the carriers up.

The kit will come with standard 3/8 hardware for the straps, lag bolts for rear holes, and some spacers should you need them for the frame or the strap. (Ford Econoline drivers side e-brake cable can run in-behind the battery tray if you use frame spacers.

If you would like holes pre-drilled in the back of the carrier tray, please specify the inside height of your vehicle frame or mounting area where you have access to the bolt heads.

Construction / Sizing Notes:

Trays are constructed from 1/8" CNC Plate steel and powdercoated. The top strap is 3/16" plate.
