Hub Spacer Kit 2WD to 4x4 Adapter Rings

$55.00
Description:

Our CNC-cut powder-coated hub spacer is a key component of GM 4x4 van conversions where the original van knuckles are retained. These adapter rings permit the usage of 4x4 truck hubs on 2WD van knuckles.

The 2WD GM van hub and 4x4 GM truck hub have different offset mounting surfaces for the brake rotor, so if you just install a truck hub on a van, your brake caliper will seat incorrectly and only grab one side of the pad. (If you're even able to install it.)

Why:

It's not as simple as just installing a regular Silverado knuckle when completing your 4x4 van conversion because the overall height is shorter on the truck knuckle and the mounting position for the tie-rod does not cooperate well with the steering assembly. Additionally, the location of the upper ball joint hole does not sit in the same location on trucks and vans.

For this reason, our systems are designed to retain the original van knuckle for conventional 4x4 conversions. Our Hi-lift conversion utilizes a taller Silverado knuckle with corrected tie-rod mounts as well as custom upper control arms to correct for caster differences.

(It would be lovely if all things van and truck were interchangeable, but they simply aren't, so we've done the leg work to figure out how to adapt them properly.)
