***We are currently redesigning this product to expand the mounting options, new product will be available to ship mid-August ***
Description:

There are a lot of solutions for battery mounting and combing through them can be a bit of brain damage, so we mounted a bunch of batteries in various locations in and on vans and came up with a universal design that works well for many applications.

This is a very basic universal battery tray that can be used for a variety of different batteries. We have an application guide listed below. The tray is designed to fit the majority of batteries, and it has a standardized height with a locking strap that goes across the top. If your battery is taller, you need merely add some tube spacers and use longer hardware to accommodate the gap.

The footprint of your battery will need to be shimmed into place if smaller. We typically just use a couple of pieces of ripped plywood to keep the battery from sliding around.

Our trays come powdercoated and can be mounted a variety of different ways. All trays come with upper locking strap. We offer (3) options.

a) Undercarriage - The undercarriage setup comes with hardware to mount the battery direct to the frame, spacers for the option to run an e-brake cable between the frame and the box, and an uncoated strap with studs welded in. The last option works well for hanging the carrier direct to the body crossmembers and having easy studs to just push the battery up into place and lower whenever for needed. You can also weld this strap to a piece of angle across the chassis frame rails and place your battery where you need it.

b) Interior - The interior setup comes with angle brackets that can be installed in various places around the base of the unit with low-profile carriage bolts. We provide a set of appropriate riv-nuts along with a drill bit and depth stop guard to mitigate the chance of drilling through any vital undercarriage components. (Always look where you're drilling!!)

c) Both - If you're unsure how you want to mount your battery but want to have options, this setup includes both undercarriage and interior components.

Construction / Sizing Notes:

Trays are constructed from 1/8" CNC Plate steel and powder coated. The top strap is 3/16" plate.
