NP261 NV271 Transfer Case Shifter Kit

This is a simple bolt-up solution for a 4x4 transfer case shifter assembly that works with factory-style E40D, 4R100, 5R110, and 4R70/75 transmissions. We build the shifter similarly for each one, though bracketry and connecting rod lengths vary from model to model.
The shifter linkage is intended to tuck fairly tight against the driver's seat for easy access and to keep the "aisle" clear between the two front seats. (On rare occasions, some models may require shaving or trimming the seat tilt lever for clearance) We have also used the same linkage on cab/chassis variants like school buses and it works fine for most of them as well.
This is a basic design that was put together for usage with factory transmissions and is not directly compatible with other 4x4 conversion companies' transmission adapters.
This shifter assembly can be bought stand-alone, or with either shift boot option and Motorcraft shifter ball. The standard boot features a leatherette boot and chrome trim ring. The Racequip shifter boot features an easy-to-install base with snaps, a Banox fire retardant 9" tall shift boot with velcro top.
Fitment Designed for:
Van Side: Fits 1992-2021 Ford E-150/E-250/E-350/E-450, Cab and chassis/cutaway variants included.
Truck Side: Fits NV/NP 271 Series manual shift transfer cases typically found in Superduty trucks years 1999-2010. May work for other transfer cases and other transmissions.
Standard hand tools, cutoff tools or nipper, drill bits, marker, etc.
Shifter linkage assembly (as shown), hardware included for mounting, shifter lever connecting rod. Trim boot and shift ball optional.
Modified Motorcraft shifter linkage (new OEM), 5/8 solid round stock, grade 10 hardware, powder coat.

No cut-template is provided, the best solution is to pull the interior trim back first and make sure the area clear of wires, then mock up the unit and lever under the van, make a small hole to push the lever through, connect the shifter rod to the transfer case, then work the lever back and forth through the top gate as you increase the hole size in the floor to accommodate the travel.
Once the hole in the floor is fully clear, you may trace the underside of the interior trim and cut accordingly. This ensures the smallest hole possible and the least audio feedback in the cabin....and the least likelihood that you will cut into a vehicle harness.

Customers in Colorado may arrange for in-person pickup within 1-2 business days of purchase taking noted lead times into consideration.
- Shipping/Fulfillment time for components: We typically ship within 1-2 business days of your order and we carefully monitor our inventory. In the event that we are unable to meet that timeframe, we will contact you and arrange either a full refund or a timeframe for fulfillment agreeable to the customer.
- Taxes: Colorado residents must pay sales tax of 7.5%, no sales tax is collected on out-of-state shipments currently.
- Quality and Returns: We are consistently complimented on the quality of our products and the ease of installation. Components are hand-built here almost exclusively in Colorado by seasoned professionals who are fanatics about design and execution. If you are in any way disappointed in the components we will issue a full refund less the cost of shipping when the product is returned. If you decide to return any components that didn't apply to your build or you changed your mind about, shipping and a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the purchase refund.
