Easy-wire GM 4x4 hub lock + Indicator Kit
Description:
The IFS 8.25 and 9.25 AAM front differential used in 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton GM pickups utilize an electronic actuator to engage the front CV axles and lock hubs in. It's nice to not have to get out of the vehicle to lock the hubs but there's some wiring involved to make this work with a manual shift transfer case.
This kit takes the signal from your manual transfer case shifting into 4x4 and activates the hub lock actuator and in turn, activates an LED indicator light inside your vehicle to remind you the 4x4 is engaged.
The harness is fairly basic, but it takes time to construct and comes out much cleaner when it's assembled prior to installation. Along with a clean and shielded design, the harness comes with a new AAM brand actuator (the only reliable brand), proper pigtails for the actuator and transfer case sensor, and a new range sensor for the transfer case, and it's all labeled neatly for ease of install. The LED indicator light is easy to install, we provide the fuse jumper and it's all just turn-key.
Harnesses are bench tested prior to shipment, and thus are only available with the hub lock motor and sensor so we can ensure proper function.
